Measures (Height × Width): 13.00×12.00 inches framed About the artist: Michael Elkayam was born in Morocco in 1954 into a family of scholars and craftsmen held in high esteem for their jewelry,calligraphy,copper relief inscriptions and ornaments. Elkayam moved to Israel with his family in 1956. He studied at the Beer Sheva Art School as well as at Bezalel in Jerusalem. His work is very colorful and rich in Jewish symbols, many of them based on Kabbala. His main motifs are Jewish themes which include Bible stories, festivals, and symbols. He has exhibited his works in Israel and abroad and his works can be found in the museums, galleries, and private collections. Michael Elkayam is a member of the Israel Association of Artists and Sculptures.
